Not every build starts in a workshop. Some start with a vision — and the refusal to settle for stock.
This 2019 Isuzu Arctic Trucks AT35 was submitted by an owner who clearly understands that capability isn’t something you buy… it’s something you build.
Already a beast in factory AT35 form, this bakkie didn’t stay standard for long.
Built With Purpose
Up front, custom bumpers coated in Raptor Paint set the tone—tough, functional, and ready for whatever the trail throws at it. Integrated LED driving lights and Hella spotlights make night driving feel like daylight, while the 12,000lb Runva winch adds that essential layer of self-recovery.
Heavy-duty rock sliders? Non-negotiable. This build is meant to be used.
More Than Just Looks
This isn’t just about presence—it’s about performance.
A Cirrus intercooler with custom TIG-welded boost pipes, a bold 5” stainless snorkel, and a high-flow K&N filter all work together to keep airflow strong and consistent. Backed by a 76mm Viper stainless exhaust and Stage 2 mapping with EGR delete, this AT35 delivers power the way it should—smooth, responsive, and ready for anything.
A Loco oil catch can ties it all together, keeping things clean and reliable for the long run.
Ready for the Long Haul
Where this build really stands out is in its purpose.
This isn’t a showpiece—it’s a fully capable overland setup.
With a GC Squared canopy, Slimline roof rack, custom aluminium drawer system, and a full 200Ah lithium auxiliary power setup with solar backup and a 220V inverter, this bakkie is built to go further and stay longer.
Add a 120L extended diesel tank and 55L water system, and you’re looking at a rig that’s just as comfortable off-grid as it is on the road.
Dialled In Where It Counts
Upgraded to Maxxis A/T tyres for better wet performance, supported by a full Gen 7 Arctic Bilstein suspension upgrade, this AT35 keeps traction and comfort in check no matter the terrain.
And when it’s time to slow things down, Powerbrake discs and pads make sure it does so with confidence.
A rear-facing camera system with digital rearview mirror and DVR (recording front and rear) adds that extra layer of safety and practicality.
And with 360° LED worklights still to be fitted, this build isn’t even finished yet.
Why We Love It
Because it’s real.
It’s not overdone. It’s not built for likes. It’s built for use.
Every mod on this AT35 serves a purpose—and that’s what makes it stand out.
