2. About RestoMod

RestoMod.co.za is an online marketplace and automotive media platform. We specialise in selling and promoting products in the Restomod, Off-Road, Custom Bike, ATV, and 4x4 industries. All products listed are sourced directly from our suppliers—local and international—and shipped directly to customers (dropshipping model).

3. Products and Orders

  • Product Listings: We strive to ensure all product descriptions, images, and prices are accurate. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any item.

  • Order Acceptance: Orders are only confirmed once payment is received. Open Road Media reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at its sole discretion.

  • Pricing: All prices are listed in South African Rands (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Product Availability: As we use a dropshipping model, stock availability depends on our suppliers. If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will offer an alternative or issue a full refund.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • Delivery Timeframes: Delivery times vary depending on the supplier’s location and the shipping method. Most items are delivered within 7–21 business days.

  • Shipping Fees: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on item weight, size, and destination.

  • International Shipping: International deliveries are subject to customs and import duties, which are the buyer’s responsibility. Open Road Media does not guarantee delivery timeframes outside of South Africa.

5. Returns and Refunds

Returns, refunds and exchanges are governed by our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

That policy sets out, among other things:

  • Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, including the seven-day cooling-off right that applies to qualifying online purchases;
  • The conditions on which RestoMod may accept a discretionary return where the customer ordered the wrong product or changed their mind;
  • When a reasonable restocking or handling charge may apply, and when it may not;
  • Who bears return shipping costs in each scenario;
  • How defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied products are handled;
  • Conditions applying to installed, modified, electrical, custom, special-order and second-hand items; and
  • Supplier and manufacturer warranty requirements.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions or in that policy excludes, limits or waives any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory provision of South African law, the applicable law prevails.

6. Warranties and Liability

  • Product Warranties: Warranties are provided by the manufacturer or supplier. Open Road Media does not provide independent warranties unless explicitly stated.

  • Limitation of Liability: Open Road Media is not liable for any damages resulting from the use or misuse of any products purchased. You use our products at your own risk.

  • Installation Disclaimer: Always use a qualified technician for installation. Incorrect installation may void any warranty.

7. Media Content & RestoMod TV

  • Any product featured on RestoMod TV, our social media platforms, or review content is for informational purposes only. Open Road Media does not guarantee performance, fitment, or compatibility unless stated in writing.

  • Sponsored content or reviews will be clearly disclosed.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this site (logos, text, images, videos, branding) is the property of Open Road Media (Pty) Ltd or its suppliers and may not be used without written permission.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for illegal or fraudulent purposes.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.

  • Post defamatory, offensive, or infringing content.

11. Franchise & Supplier Terms

  • Franchisees and suppliers partnering with Open Road Media must enter into separate agreements detailing responsibilities, commission structures, and branding guidelines.

12. Changes to Terms

Open Road Media reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website after changes indicates acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with South African consumer law.
