Installation Notes
This is a flat tappet cam and requires correct break-in procedure:
- Use a high-ZDDP break-in oil (or add a ZDDP additive)
- Coat lobes and lifter faces with the supplied moly assembly lube before installation
- Run the engine at 1,800–2,500 RPM for 20–30 minutes immediately after first start to seat the lobes
- Replace the break-in oil after the first 500 km
- Use matched hydraulic flat tappet lifters — not roller or solid
