The Ringbrothers have done it again, pushing the boundaries of what a custom build can be with their latest masterpiece — the ENYO super truck. This isn’t just any vintage pickup; it’s a wild fusion of old-school farm truck roots and modern racecar performance, powered by a monstrous 1,000-horsepower tall-deck marine racing engine. After more than 10,000 hours of relentless craftsmanship and attention to detail, ENYO stands as the most extreme and daring build yet from the legendary Wisconsin-based builders.

Starting with a 1948 Chevrolet Loadmaster 1.5-ton pickup, Ringbrothers completely transformed the truck into something that defies expectation. This build is a bold statement that challenges traditional notions of American trucks, blending raw vintage character with cutting-edge technology and race-inspired engineering. With a chassis designed from the ground up by Scott Ahlman of Ahlman Engineering alongside Roadster Shop, ENYO features a bespoke open-wheeled car-style platform that perfectly marries a big-box truck cab and a colossal drivetrain in a way never seen before.
The cab itself is a marvel of craftsmanship — the original 1948 steel shell was narrowed and chopped by four inches, lengthened slightly, and wedge-cut for an aggressive stance. To lighten and modernize the body, extensive use of 3K-weave carbon fibre panels replace most of the steelwork, including the hood, bedsides, doors, grille, diffusers, and even the dashboard. The belly pan is a single carbon-fibre piece that runs the length of the chassis, highlighting the meticulous detail invested in this build.
Under the hood roars a 510 cubic-inch tall-deck LS engine from Goodwin Competition Racing Engines, tuned to deliver a staggering 1,000 horsepower running on race fuel. Feeding the beast is a Kinsler eight-stack injection system, backed by a Holley fuel management setup, while power is sent through a Bowler Performance 4L80 automatic transaxle with torque tube — a drivetrain package built for brutal, reliable performance. Every part of this powertrain is designed to unleash raw power while maintaining control.
That control comes courtesy of a cantilever independent suspension on all four corners, fitted with Ohlins TTX coilover shocks and Swift springs. This setup ensures that the immense horsepower is translated to the pavement with confidence and precision. The truck rolls on custom Porsche 911 centre-lock wheels by HRE Wheels, with two sets provided — one for street and one for the track — allowing quick wheel changes thanks to a Nuke Performance air jack system. Brembo GTS M6 brakes with six-piston calipers handle stopping duties, offering fierce bite to match the truck’s acceleration.
Inside, the build continues to impress with modern comforts woven into the vintage shell. Power windows and custom stainless-steel fuel tank by Ricks Tanks add practicality, while a Vintage Air Gen II compact air conditioning system keeps occupants cool. The interior is a bespoke collaboration with Upholstery Unlimited and Gemini Technology Systems, featuring Dakota Digital gauges for a modern cockpit feel that balances style and function.
The open truck bed reveals the mechanical marvels beneath, showcasing the suspension components, battery, and rear-mounted radiator. The clamshell hood lifts smoothly on electromagnetic latches, giving access to the powerhouse within. Side pipes made from 58 feet of titanium with pie-cut welds channel the exhaust from one-off headers, a testament to the build’s level of customisation and engineering excellence.
Mike and Jim Ring have long been pioneers in the custom car world, embracing high-tech design and manufacturing methods long before they became industry standards. ENYO embodies that spirit of innovation, blending advanced CAD design, 3D printing, and in-house billet machining to create parts and details that are truly one-of-a-kind. This truck is more than a build; it’s a rolling showcase of everything Ringbrothers stand for — craftsmanship, innovation, and passion.
ENYO isn’t just a statement on wheels. It’s the collision of two worlds, the vintage and the modern, farm truck grit and racecar fury — a fusion so extreme it can only come from the Ringbrothers’ shop in Spring Green, Wisconsin. This is a truck built to rewrite the rules and show what’s possible when imagination meets skill.
Vehicle: 1948 Chevrolet Loadmaster 1.5-ton Pickup
Name: ENYO
Designer: Gary Ragle Designs
Build Time: Over 10,000 shop hours plus 2,000 design and CAD hours
The drivetrain features a 510 cubic-inch tall-deck LS engine built by Goodwin Competition Racing Engines, producing 1,000 horsepower on 110 race fuel. It breathes through a Kinsler LS-Sprint eight-stack injection system controlled by a Holley fuel management system, paired with a Bowler Performance 4L80 automatic transaxle with torque tube.
Chassis and suspension are one-off designs from Roadster Shop and Ahlman Engineering, with cantilever independent suspension front and rear, Ohlins TTX coilovers, and Swift Springs. Wheels are bespoke Porsche 911 centre-lock units by HRE, with separate street and race sets, wrapped in Michelin and Goodyear rubber respectively. Brembo GTS M6 six-piston calipers provide the stopping power.
The exterior is painted Mythic Battle Green by BASF Glasurit in a Global Finishing Solutions booth. Extensive carbon fibre is used across body panels and components, including the belly pan, hood, doors, dashboard, and more. The original cab was narrowed, chopped, lengthened, and wedge-cut, retaining vintage presence but with radical modern lines.
Inside, Dakota Digital gauges, power windows, a Vintage Air Gen II A/C system, and a custom interior by Upholstery Unlimited and Gemini Technology Systems round out the modern conveniences.
ENYO is a testament to Ringbrothers’ dedication to blending art and engineering, creating a super truck that’s as capable on the street as it is jaw-dropping at any car show.
