When it comes to building cars, Francois Schuster is no rookie. Over the years, he has built many amazing cars, including the 1932 Ford Coupe and the 1956 Chevy Bel Air. As part of Thundersport, Francois decided to try his hand at something different. He wanted to put an LS motor into something a bit more modern. But with the cost of Corvettes and new American cars in South Africa, he decided to go for something completely different, namely a 2005 Nissan Z350.

It’s believed the sale marks a new Plymouth Hemi Superbird record.


A restored 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Hemi Superbird has broken auction records in the US, fetching US$1,650,000 at Barrett-Jackson’s in Las Vegas.


The December 1969-built NASCAR homologation special was ordered in Tor-Red. It is powered by its matching numbers, a top-spec 426ci Hemi powerplant. Most sources indicate 135 of these 425hp Hemi Superbirds were built, with just over 1900 Superbirds produced in total.

Ringbrothers unveiled its latest build, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro known as VALKYRJA, at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The 890-horsepower muscle car was developed using the latest technology, including 3D scanning, CAD design and more. The car was assembled with modern materials such as carbon fibre. While custom parts were created using a combination of 3D printing and CNC machining.
